Settings overview
Open Settings under Account in the sidebar, or click your avatar at the top right and choose Settings. It has two tabs: Profile, for your picture, name, email, mobile number, preferences and password, and Branding, for how Fitora looks to your clients (workspace owner only). A few other account settings live where you use them:
| Setting | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| Profile picture, name, email and mobile number | Settings > Profile > Personal Info |
| Timezone and country | Settings > Profile > Preferences |
| Light, dark or system theme | Settings > Profile > Preferences > Theme, or the theme button in the top bar |
| Password | Settings > Profile > Password, or Forgot password? on the sign-in page |
| Brand name, colour and icon for your clients | Settings > Branding (workspace owner only) |
| Browser notifications | Turn on in the bell panel in the top bar |
| Community notifications | Notification Settings in a community’s three-dot menu |
| Challenge notifications | The bell button on a challenge’s page |
| Workspace | The workspace name at the top of the sidebar |
| Team and roles | Team in the sidebar (workspace owner only) |
Editing your profile
Your profile picture appears at the top right of the app (the first letter of your name when you have no picture), and clicking it shows your full name and email. Your clients see your name and picture in the client app, for example in their messages with you.
- Open Settings in the sidebar. The Profile tab opens
- To change your picture, click it next to Profile Picture in Personal Info and pick a JPG, PNG or WebP image
- To change your name, type it in Full Name, then click outside the field or press Enter
- To add or change your mobile number, type it in Mobile Number, then click outside the field or press Enter. Empty the field to remove it
Each change is saved on its own as soon as you make it, a confirmation appears, and your avatar and name update straight away. There is no Save button.
Full Name cannot be left empty; Mobile Number is optional.
Changing your email
You sign in with your email, and team invitations reach you there, so a new address only takes effect once you confirm you can read mail sent to it.
- In Settings > Profile, click the pencil next to Email
- Enter the address in New Email and click Send Verification Code
- Open the email titled “Your Fitora verification code” at the new address
- In Verify Email Change, type the six-digit code into the boxes (or paste it) and click Verify
From then on you sign in with the new address. Fitora also tells your old address about the change, in an email titled “Your Fitora email was changed”.
- The code works once and expires after 15 minutes. Resend Code sends a new one; you can ask for one every minute.
- After five wrong codes, ask for a new one.
- Until you click Verify, your account keeps its current email, so closing the dialog changes nothing.
- An address another Fitora coach already signs in with cannot be used.
Timezone and country
The Preferences card on the Profile tab holds your own Timezone, picked from the list by region and city, for example (GMT +02:00) Europe/Skopje, and your Country. Each is saved as soon as you pick it.
Your clients’ days still follow each client’s own time zone, which you set on their Settings tab and they can change in the client app.
Choosing light or dark mode
Theme in the Preferences card on the Profile tab sets how the coach app looks.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Light | Always uses the light theme |
| Dark | Always uses the dark theme |
| System | Follows the light or dark setting of your computer or phone |
- Open Settings in the sidebar
- In Preferences, click Light, Dark or System next to Theme
The choice applies straight away.
To flip between light and dark without opening Settings, click the sun or moon button in the top bar. It replaces System with Light or Dark.
The theme is remembered by your browser, not your account, so another browser or computer starts with its own setting. Until you choose, System applies.
Signing in and out
Sign in to the coach app at app.fitora.mk with the email address and password of your coach account.
- Open app.fitora.mk
- Enter your Email and Password
- Click Sign in
If the details are wrong, the page shows Unable to sign in. Please check your credentials. Check the email address for typos, or reset your password.
Signing out
Click your avatar at the top right, then Sign Out. Fitora takes you back to the sign-in page and stops sending browser notifications to that browser until you sign in again.
Your clients do not use a password. They sign in to the client app with the username and code you give them, which you can look up at any time under Client Access. See Clients.
Resetting a forgotten password
- On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?
- Enter your Email address and click Send reset link
- Open the email titled “Reset your Fitora password” and click the link in it
- On the Reset your password page, enter your new password in Password and again in Confirm password
- Click Reset password, then sign in with your new password
Fitora then sends a second email, “Your Fitora password was changed”, to confirm.
- Your new password must be at least 8 characters long.
- The reset link works once and expires after one hour. If it has expired or was already used, request a new one.
- You can request a new link every two minutes.
For privacy, after you send the form the page shows If this email exists, a reset link has been sent. whether or not the address belongs to a coach account. If no email arrives, check your spam folder and the spelling of the address.
Changing your password
- In Settings > Profile, click Change Password in the Password card
- Enter your current password in Old Password
- Enter the new one in New Password and again in Confirm New Password
- Click Change Password
Fitora confirms with an email titled “Your Fitora password was changed”. Browsers where you are already signed in stay signed in.
- The new password needs at least 8 characters.
- If you have forgotten your password, follow Resetting a forgotten password instead.
Branding the client app and emails
The workspace owner can give Fitora their own look for clients: a brand name, a colour and an icon. The Branding tab shows only to the owner.
- Open Settings and click the Branding tab
- Click the circle next to Icon and pick a JPG, PNG or WebP image. It is shown in a circle
- Type your brand name in Name, up to 25 characters
- Pick a colour next to Brand colour, or type its hex code, for example #2051F1
- Check the result under Mobile App and Email on the right, then click Save changes
| Where | What your clients see |
|---|---|
| Mobile App | The top of the home screen shows your icon and name on your colour, the greeting under it uses your colour, and so does the selected tab at the bottom |
| The email with a new client’s username and PIN shows your icon and name at the top and your colour behind the title, uses your name in its subject, and names the coach who created the account |
Clients see the change the next time they open the client app. Nothing changes until you click Save changes.
Click reset back to default to go back to Fitora’s own name, colour and logo. The client app itself is still called Fitora in the App Store and Google Play, so the welcome email still tells clients to open the Fitora app.
Notification settings
Notifications are set in a few places, depending on what they are about.
Browser notifications
To get notifications from your browser while you are away from Fitora, click the bell in the top bar, then Turn on, and allow notifications when your browser asks. This is set per browser. See Coach app.
Community notifications
- Open Community in the sidebar and open a community
- Click the three-dot menu at the top right and choose Notification Settings
- Switch each type on or off. Each change is saved straight away
| Setting | Notifies you when |
|---|---|
| New Posts | New posts are published |
| Likes | Someone likes your post |
| Comments | Someone comments on your post |
| Mentions | Someone mentions you |
| Poll Votes | Someone votes on your poll |
Notification Settings appears only in communities you are a member of, and the settings apply to that community only.
Challenge notifications
- Open Challenges in the sidebar and open a challenge
- Click the bell button at the top of the challenge
- Switch each type on or off. Each change is saved straight away
| Challenge mode | Settings |
|---|---|
| Leaderboard | Entered Top 3: a client moves into a top 3 position. New Leader: a client takes the lead |
| Milestone | Badge Earned: a client earns any badge. All Badges Completed: a client completes all badges |
These settings are yours alone and apply to that one challenge.
Client activity
Notifications about completed workouts, check-ins, questionnaires, metrics and progress photos go to the coaches assigned to that client, or to the workspace owner while no coach is assigned. To change who hears about a client, change their coaches with Assign Coach in the client’s menu on the Clients page.
Workspaces and your team
Your coach account can belong to more than one workspace, with a role in each: owner, admin or standard coach.
- To move between workspaces, click the workspace name at the top of the sidebar. See Coach app.
- To accept an invitation to another workspace, click Review Invitation in the banner at the top of the app. See Coach app.
- To invite coaches and change roles, the workspace owner opens Team in the sidebar. See Team.
Your name, picture, email, password, timezone and country belong to your account, so they are the same in every workspace. Your role, your notifications and the branding are separate for each workspace.
