Find your way around the Fitora coach app: the sidebar, notifications, workspaces and more.

Coach app overview

The Fitora coach app is a web app you open in your browser at app.fitora.mk. It is your whole workspace: from here you add clients, build training programs and meal plans, create check-ins and habits, message your clients, and run your community and challenges.

Your clients use a different app: the Fitora app for iPhone and Android. Whatever you assign in the coach app, such as a program, a meal plan, a check-in or a habit, is what your clients see and complete in their app. See Client app for their side.

Coach accounts are set up with you by the Fitora team, so there is no sign-up form. See General for how to get access.

Signing in

  1. Open app.fitora.mk in your browser
  2. Enter the Email and Password of your coach account
  3. Click Sign in

The Clients page of your workspace opens. If you coach in more than one workspace, see Switching workspaces.

Forgot your password? Click Forgot password? under the sign-in form. The full steps are in Settings.

Finding your way around

Every page shares the same frame:

  • The sidebar on the left: your workspace name at the top and the pages of the app grouped under Main, Manage, Library and Account
  • The top bar: the title of the page you are on and, on the right, Help, the light/dark theme button, the notification bell and your avatar. Help opens this help center, the AI Assistant and Fitora on Instagram; your avatar shows who is signed in, with Settings and Sign Out
  • The page itself, often with its own tabs and a main action button in its header

Collapsing the sidebar

Click the arrow button next to your workspace name to collapse the sidebar to icons only, which leaves more room for wide pages such as a client’s training calendar. Hover over an icon to see the page name. To expand the sidebar again, click the Fitora logo at the top. Your browser remembers the choice.

On a smaller screen

When the browser window is narrow, for example on a tablet or phone, the sidebar is hidden. Tap the menu button at the top left of the top bar to open it. It closes when you pick a page, tap outside it or tap its close button.

The sidebar lists every page of the coach app. Here is what each one is for:

SectionPageWhat you do there
MainClientsYour client list: add, search, tag, assign and archive clients, and open a client’s profile. See Clients.
MainCheck InsThe check-ins your clients submitted in the last week, the ones still to review first. See Forms.
MainTasksYour to-do list, with due dates, for you and your team. See Tasks.
MainMessagesDirect conversations with your clients, plus group chats. See Messages.
ManageCommunityCommunities where you and your clients post, comment and vote in polls. See Community.
ManageChallengesLeaderboard and milestone challenges for your clients. See Challenges.
ManageTeamThe coaches in your workspace, their roles and invitations. Only the workspace owner sees this page. See Team.
LibraryTrainingYour Programs, Workouts, Sections and Exercises. See Training.
LibraryNutritionYour meal Plans, Library Meals and Library Foods. See Nutrition.
LibraryFormsYour Check Ins and Questionnaires. See Forms.
LibraryHabitsThe habits you assign to clients. See Habits.
LibraryMetricsThe metrics your clients log, such as weight, including ones you create. See Metrics.
LibraryResourcesFolders of files and links to share with clients. See Resources.
AccountSettingsYour profile, email, password, timezone and theme, and your brand for clients (owner only). See Settings.

Two pages show a count next to their name: Tasks shows how many open tasks have a due date, and Messages shows how many conversations have unread messages.

Inside a client’s profile

Click a client on the Clients page to open their profile. The tabs across the top hold everything about that client:

TabWhat it shows
OverviewThe client’s details, notes, metric averages, this week’s training, nutrition and habits, the activity log and the latest progress photos
Check InsThe check-ins assigned to the client and the answers they submitted
TrainingThe client’s training calendar or programs, completed workouts, exercise history and statistics
NutritionThe client’s Meal Plans and their Nutrition Logger
HabitsThe habits assigned to the client and how well they keep them
PhotosThe client’s progress photos
MetricsThe metrics assigned to the client and the values they logged
ResourcesThe resources shared with the client
SettingsThe client’s profile, body profile and time zone under General, and archiving or deleting the client under Danger

Next to the tabs, the key button opens Client access with the client’s username and code, and the chat button (Message client) opens your conversation with them. See Clients for the details of each tab.

A typical day in the coach app

  1. Click the bell in the top bar to see what your clients did since you last looked. Click a notification to jump straight to the workout, check-in or photo it is about
  2. Open Messages in the sidebar and answer the conversations counted next to it
  3. Open Tasks and work through what is due
  4. Open Clients and scan the Last Check-In and Last Active columns to spot anyone who has gone quiet

Clicking a check-in notification opens that submission on the client’s Check Ins tab, so you can review it without looking for the client first.

Notifications

The bell in the top bar collects what your clients do. The number on the bell shows how many notifications you have not read yet.

Reading notifications

  1. Click the bell in the top bar
  2. Read the most recent notifications, grouped under Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days and Older
  3. Click a notification to open the page it is about. The notification is marked as read
  4. Click Mark all as read to clear the count, or View all to open the full Notifications page

The Notifications page lists all your notifications, newest first. Click Load more at the bottom to see older ones.

Filtering

Click the filter button at the top of the panel or the page and choose All Notifications, Workouts, Submissions, Metrics or Photos. Only filters that have notifications behind them are offered.

What you are notified about

NotificationClicking it opens
A client completed a workoutThe workout summary on the client’s Training tab
A client submitted a check-inThe submission on the client’s Check Ins tab
A client submitted a questionnaireThe answers, over the client’s Overview tab
A client logged a metricThe client’s Metrics tab
A client added a progress photoThe client’s Photos tab

New chat messages do not appear in the bell: they are counted next to Messages in the sidebar, and arrive as browser notifications once you have turned those on.

Notifications about a client’s activity go to the coaches assigned to that client. While a client has no assigned coach, they go to the workspace owner. See Team.

Browser notifications

Turn on browser notifications to hear about new activity and messages while you are away from Fitora. The first time you sign in from a browser, Fitora asks you right away: click Turn on, then allow notifications when your browser asks. If you chose Not now, you can turn them on from the bell at any time.

  1. Click the bell in the top bar
  2. At the top of the panel, click Turn on
  3. Allow notifications when your browser asks

From then on, this browser shows a notification for each new client activity and chat message whenever no Fitora page is on screen: in a background tab, in a minimised window, or with no Fitora tab open at all, as long as the browser is running. While you are looking at Fitora, the bell and the Messages count update as things happen.

Click a browser notification to open the page it is about. If it belongs to another of your workspaces, Fitora switches to that workspace first.

Browser notifications are set per browser, so turn them on in each browser you coach from. The Turn on prompt disappears once you have answered your browser’s question: if you blocked notifications, allow them again in your browser’s site settings. Your computer’s own notification settings can also hide them.

Clicking Sign Out stops notifications to that browser until you sign in again.

Asking Fitora for help

Not sure how to do something? Click Help in the top bar, then AI Assistant, and ask in your own words, in English or Macedonian. The answer comes from this help center, with links to the sections it used, and the page you are on stays open so you can follow the steps.

  1. Click Help in the top bar, then AI Assistant
  2. Type your question, or pick one of the suggested questions
  3. Press Enter to send. Shift+Enter starts a new line
  4. Follow the steps. The links under the answer open the matching help sections in a new tab

Ask a follow-up in the same conversation, for example “and how do I undo that?”. New chat starts over, and the conversation also ends when you reload the page or sign out. Press Escape or the close button to hide the panel; the conversation stays while you move between pages.

The assistant, Fitora AI workouts and Meal AI share one daily allowance per coach, which starts again at midnight UTC; when it is used up, all three say so until then. The assistant only knows what this help center says: when your question is not covered, it says so and points you to support@fitora.mk.

Questions written in Cyrillic are answered in Macedonian, others in English. Buttons are named in English either way, as they appear in the app.

Light and dark mode

Click the sun or moon button in the top bar to switch between the light and the dark theme.

To follow your computer’s setting instead, open Settings in the sidebar and choose System next to Theme in Preferences. See Settings.

Switching workspaces

One coach account can belong to several workspaces, for example your own business and a team you coach for. Each workspace has its own clients, library, conversations and notifications. Your role is set per workspace, so you can be the owner of one and a standard coach in another.

  1. Click the workspace name at the top of the sidebar
  2. Pick the workspace you want from the list. The one you are in has a check mark

Fitora reloads and opens the Clients page of the workspace you picked.

The workspace list appears only when you belong to more than one workspace; otherwise the top of the sidebar just shows your workspace’s name. If the sidebar is collapsed, expand it first.

Joining another workspace

When a workspace owner invites your email address to their team, a banner appears across the top of the coach app the next time you open or reload it.

  1. Click Review Invitation in the banner
  2. Check the workspace name, then click Accept to join, or Decline to turn the invitation down
  3. After accepting, click Switch Now to go straight to the new workspace, or close the dialog and switch later from the top of the sidebar

Invitations are matched to the email address you sign in with. If you have several, they are shown one at a time, oldest first.

Owners invite coaches from the Team page. See Team.

Seeing what your clients see

To check how a program, meal plan or check-in looks on a phone, set up a test client for yourself and sign in to the client app with it.

  1. Open Clients in the sidebar and click + Add Client
  2. Enter a Client Name and a Client Email, for example your own email address, and click Add Client
  3. Open the test client’s profile and click the key button to see its Username and Code
  4. Install the Fitora app on your iPhone or Android phone and sign in with that username and code
  5. Assign the program, meal plan, check-in or habit to the test client and look at it in the app

A test client counts as an active client like any other. When you are done, archive it from the Clients page; its history is kept.

Frequently asked questions

Can Ask Fitora see my clients’ data?
No. It answers only from the Fitora help center and does not read your clients or anything else in your workspace.
Is there a coach app for my phone?
The coach app is a web app, so open app.fitora.mk in your phone’s browser. On a small screen the sidebar folds into a menu button at the top left.
Do I need Fitora open to get notifications?
No, once you turn on browser notifications from the bell. Your browser shows them while no Fitora page is on screen, as long as the browser is running.
Why can’t I see the Team page?
Only the workspace owner sees Team in the sidebar. Ask your workspace owner if you need roles changed or coaches invited.
A coach on my team can’t see some clients. Why?
Standard coaches see only the clients assigned to them. Assign the clients to that coach, or give the coach the admin role.
Why did my notifications change after I switched workspace?
Each workspace has its own notifications, and the bell shows only the workspace you are in.
Where do I find a client’s username and code?
Open the client’s profile and click the key button, or choose Client Access from the client’s menu on the Clients page.
Can I make the sidebar smaller?
Yes. Click the arrow next to your workspace name to collapse it to icons, and click the Fitora logo to expand it again.
Where do I change my name or photo?
Open Settings in the sidebar. On the Profile tab, click your picture to pick a new one, or edit Full Name; each change saves on its own.
